This is a mower deck bracket from a customer's mowing tractor. The square tube at the bottom of the image had snapped off after years of accumulated wear and tear.
I picked up the part at the customer's home and completed the repair in 1 day.
The part was returned to the customer's home once the repair was completed.
This picture shows a closeup of the repair. The fatigued metal was ground away. Then area around the break was cleaned and thoroughly inspected. I TIG welded this bracket using multiple passes to build up the area of the fracture. Careful attention was paid by me during the fit up to ensure that the brack was repaired straight and that the mounting hole was in the same relative location as before the break occurred.
The customer was pleased with the repair and sent me the following note expressing his thanks.
